Liferaft Sales and Services Centre (Fiji) Pte Limited, specifically deals with Marine safety products including sale and service of life rafts. Marine sector being the main market and within this sector open sea fishing business tops the segment followed by inter – island ferries and Pacific Island nations.
How We Started
The company was incorporated and established in year 2003 by the sister company Hangton Pacific Company Pte Limited, which operates a long line fishing fleet after encountering extremely expensive services provided by a single operator. What Do We Do
The company made a timely entry into the industry when safety of life at sea products were expansive and proving unaffordable. Since establishment the client base has broadened. Within a small market the company has almost 100 businesses as customers. And looking at number of businesses using marine safety products our unqualified opinion is that our company holds over 70% market share.
Our competitive advantage setting aside the company from completion is attributed to readily available products at real and true prices to ensure safe, compliant and affordable products to every customer. Our product is targeted towards the majority orientation of customers. Our services are available on request 24/7 keeping in mind the nature of the industry and to accommodate international trade.

Accreditation by Maritime Agencies
The company has approval of the Chinese Classification Society which is the competent authority responsible of ensuring that manufacturers of products we deal with are manufactured to relevant IMO standards and upgraded timely. The company is audited and certified by Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji under Maritime (Fiji Maritime Code) Regulations 2014.

Markets & Service Areas
Our target market has had primarily been fishing industry followed by local inter-island ferries, government and others Pacific Island nations shipping department. With the Maritime Transport Decree 2013 and the Ships Registration Decree 2013 we see potential growth in the sheltered waters segment covering small crafts and we have the financial and technical capacity to offer our services taking safety of life to new heights. Furthermore, we have set sight on the tourism sector to tap into the yacht market and are planning awareness campaigns following completion of our modern, state of art Marine Safety Service Station currently under planning for which a building with 5000sq meters area has been secured adjacent to the port of entry in Suva.

The company employs direct sales approach given the size and concentration of the market in Fiji and has web and published media access to reach out.

We are fully aware of existing competition, with two businesses in the industry till lately with a third player recently entering the market making the industry highly competitive which we believe shall be in the best interest of customers.
